With amazing medical care and god's blessing, Kristy delivered baby Madelyn in 2013.

Heart Failure in 2002 left Kristy with a pacemaker at the age of 22. 

Transposition of the Great Arteries (also called Vessels) is now commonly reversed shortly after birth with heart surgery that is risky, but often successful.  In 1980, they had not yet attempted this surgical vessel reversal, and the common treatment was the placing of a baffle between the two heart chambers to allow oxygenated blood to circulate throughout the body.
